Business Management
Administration is a function of all of the modules within ClariNet™ and the flexibility
of configuration within the Administration module expands as a subscriber adds modules
to its subscription. Each entity, which is a subscriber to ClariNet™, can designate
an Administrator who can then manage ClariNet™ users within that organization.
Administration of the individual user's experience is undertaken through the
User Profile, while information specific to a subscriber is maintained by its Administrator
through the Subscriber Profile. The Administrator can disable changes to the User
Profile for some or all of its users.
A User Profile contains information on the user's home page configuration -
it also allows the User to configure up to ten predefined searches and customized
reports.
The Subscriber Profile allows the subscriber to manage its users' roles and
responsibilities, to establish and maintain external relationships and update its
Licensing Gateway and Business Gateway. The subscriber's preferred Case workflow
can be implemented in the User Roles and Workflow Management panels.
The Licensing Gateway stores licensing information for a subscriber. It identifies
the state in which it holds a license as a viatical or life settlement entity (whether
broker or provider). Subscribers are responsible for maintaining their own license
information and while no substitute for independent due diligence, the Licensing
Gateway allows for a rapid exchange of licensing information between transaction
participants. Each subscriber can upload a PDF document with its license information
within the Licensing Gateway, which can be made available to other subscribers.
The Business Gateway allows a subscriber to limit the volume of Cases which are
submitted for its consideration by other market participants. The Business Gateway
specifies parameters such as maximum and minimum face amounts, minimum attained
age(s) of insured(s) and minimum and maximum life expectancy. It also allows a subscriber
to specify documents which should be included with a Case prior to submission -
whether those documents are mandatory (such that their omission will block the Case
from submission) or preferred (such that their omission will allow submission of
the Case but will notify the submitter that pricing or response time may be improved
with the addition of that document to the Case).
Third Party Access control allows a subscriber to grant access rights to its portfolios
to one or more external service providers.
Finally, in addition to interacting with the User Roles panel to specify the subscriber's
chosen workflow method, the Workflow Management panel allows the subscriber to configure
defined workflow components.
